On the first weekend after Christmas about 20 parishoners and friends gathered at the Kookaburra cinema at Mundaring Weir, to share a meal and then watch the very entertaining film “The 100 Foot Journey”. An enjoyable evening and one to be repeated.
Sunday 4 January we celebrated our Patronal Festival at the Church of the Epiphany. It was a lovely balmy evening as we joined together in song, scripture and sermon, followed by everyone gathering for a group photograph outside the church. It was also a time for burying of our Centenary Time Capsule. Everyone then made their way down to the Parish Centre gardens, where some busy spirits had been at work transforming a delightful setting for our barbeque dinner. The cooks used their talents to provide delicious kebabs and sausages.
