A big thank you to Shire of Mundaring

A big thank you to the Shire of Mundaring. In May we were successful in winning a Shire Quick Grant of $500. The Grant enabled us to buy another Marquee and mesh sides to reduce the effect of the wind. The Marquee was used at the Foundation Day lunch and the Old Prayer Book service lunch. It is a great asset to enable us to use the marquees in all weather, protecting ourselves from the elements come rain or shine.

Mostly History Quiz Night

Last Friday night the Church of the Epiphany showed a new face as the venue for the Mostly History Quiz.  The pews were re arranged to accommodate eight brightly covered tables for six.  It was an occasion for testing memory and observation, and to  help both there was a choice of three answers for each question.  There was plenty of singing of old time songs (hleped by printed word sheets) and altogether it was a noisey, fun filled evening, with plenty of prizes.  Congratulations to all those who worked hard to make it such a success.

Consecration of Jeremy James our new Bishop

Nine people from our church were able to attend the Consecration of Jeremy James our new Bishop at a ceremony last night held at St. George’s Cathedral. Five of us travelled together by train very early, with the hope of getting goods seats, but this was not to be. The whole of the church was reserved for various guests and so the only availble seating was at the very back in a corner. Never the less we could hear if not see the proceedings.
